The goal of Parker Montessori is to provide an educational environment that serves the whole child, where each student can grow intellectually, emotionally, socially and physically. Parker Montessori’s focus in curriculum is to provide high interest and strong challenge within a dynamic and experiential environment. Each student is educated using an individualized plan developed by the teacher. This plan is based upon the child’s demonstrated skills and abilities.

To aid in the personalized education of the child, we emphasize mixed-age groups. Within our classrooms, the child can be enriched both cognitively and socially at the level that is comfortable for him/her.

    • library skills

We believe that discovering the joy of reading is critical to a lifetime of curiosity and learning. In addition to a great selection of age-appropriate books in each classroom, our school also features an extensive library ranging in subjects to reinforce our classroom learning. The students regularly visit the library and learn about how to find, check out, care for, and return books.

    Beyond the classroom

These six curriculum areas are reinforced in all our activities in and out of the classroom – including our specialty classes and our celebrations. Tying everything together is our focused study of a different biome each year. Don’t forget to ask about our biomes on your tour!
